I am a Brit but from 'that era'. A liberal then, and now. My question is, would Barack Obama have made it to the White House, without the struggles of Martin Luther King, Malcolm X and others. For me the answer is no. America showed during the last election that it still has many racial hurdles to overcome. It still has a long way to go.
