Sad isn't it that you have to run with the crowd or face bullying etc. I have come across a couple of older people with Asperger's during my work. They of course would have been treat very differently when they were young. They had harrowing lives. We are supposedly more cilivised and enlightened these days so perhaps we should begin to act accordingly.

Phyliss I hope you do not mind me saying but, should the title of this report say Part 2 and not Part 1? :)

Eileen, thank you for reading and commenting. I hope it's not confusing; if so, I'll change it, but I'm going to write many reports about AS. It's a condition that has so many facets and nuances. However, this is the first one that will focus on "lack of friendships," sort of a series within a series?

Children need to be taught how to deal with being bullied and loving themselves and not allowing insults to get under their skin. I know. Easier said than done.

Thank you for reading and commenting, George. Children who are developmentally delayed need added support and empathy.

You're welcome, Nina, and thank you for reading and commenting. Asperger's Syndrome is complex and has so many nuances to it; I could write a book about it.
