Ray Lewis Interview after victory over Patriots

Ray Lewis will have to wait one more game to retire. His defense suffocated Tom Brady and the New England Patriots on Sunday. Ray Lewis has been an inspiration to his team, especially the defense that he captains. Baltimore beat the New England Patriots 28-13 in the AFC Championship game on Sunday night to reach the Super Bowl.

Baltimore won games against the Denver Broncos in Denver and the New England Patriots at Foxborough (two games on the road) and they did against all odds. No one gave this team a shot. The Ravens showed their critics that on any given Sunday anything is possible.

The Ravens defense was dominant tonight. Tom Brady could hardly move the ball in the second half. Brady didn't have an answer to the hard hitting Ravens defense. He was crushed tonight.

Tom Brady went 29 for 54 with 320 yards of offense. He only had one touchdown (TD) and went along with two interceptions. The Patriots moved the ball at times but they couldn't sustain drives in the second half. When things looked like they were clicking they would make a critical error to end their drives.

How about Joe Flacco? Joe has been criticized throughout his career for not being able to do well in big games. This playoff season was different. Flacco was a difference maker out there. Tonight he went 21 for 36 with 240 yards passing. He threw three TDs and didn't throw an interception. That's a pretty good day at the office for Flacco.

Ray Lewis is the big story. When he went down with a triceps injury this season, it looked like his season and career were over. Lewis rehabbed well and returned for the playoffs. He has led his team to the Super Bowl and he will try to cap his career with a Super Bowl victory.

Two brothers will face off against each other. Head coach Jim Harbaugh of the San Francisco 49ers and John Harbaugh of the Ravens will go head to head. The two brothers will fight for bragging rights within their family.

This will be the first time that brothers have squared off against each other as head coaches in the Super Bowl.
