This is the story of an 18-year old girl who does not want to die.

Her name is Ayuoba-Ali Sihame, she is 18-years old and had represented her country Comoros in the 2012 London Olympics – but, she ran away from the Olympic village because she wanted to escape from being forcibly married away to a 60-year old man.

This has been reported in dailymail.co.uk of dated 14th of January 2013.

Comoros is a tiny African island and she was one of seven participants in the 2012London Olympics.

She was also a member of the volleyball team and, hence, her sportswoman celebrity status had gone up considerably in the poverty stricken Muslim community.

Her parents, therefore, wanted to take advantage of the situation and wanted to marry her off.

It seems she hid to practice swimming wearing full costume and her brother was always there to act as her guard as well as her chaper-on.

She had also been told that, once married, she would have to forget all about swimming

Ayuoba-Ali Sihame tried to flee into France but failed and now stands to be deported.

But, she does not want to go back to Comoros because she knows that once she goes back, she might face death.

She has, therefore, requested for asylum in Britain.
