Australian Open 2013: Laura Robson makes round two

For the first time Laura Robson, 18, stepped into the second round of the Australian Open with a 6-2 6-3 victory over American Melanie Oudin.

Robson’s forehand was in charge for the most of her 28 winners, and 11 aces that kept Oudin on the back foot for the most part.

The British number two who will be 19 next week, will play former Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova in the next round.
