Malawi Police arrest Chinese at Airport

Malawi Police have arrested two Chinese nationals at the country’s international airport as the two were about to board a flight.

The Chinese nationals are Shuxin Wang aged 42 and Bing Tan aged 46 and were apprehended by Airport police at the Kamuzu International Airport in Malawi’s capital Lilongwe en route to China.

The money that the two were found with, according to the police publicist is 31,096 US dollars and 133,100 Malawi Kwacha.

Last week another Chinese national, Hua Chen, aged 34, was also caught at the same airport in possession of of ivory.

Another Chinese national was also arrested in the capital Lilongwe for printing fake Malawi national team jerseys.
