Cleveland Ohio. An exotic dancer who was giving a customer a lap dance who then fell down from a second floor has passed away.

The family of the deceased exotic dancer Lauren Block, 22, released a statement Wednesday morning through officials of MetroHealth Medical Center. "We would like to thank the community for their outpouring of support and prayers for Lauren. She has passed away but is an organ donor, and we hope this will enable her to save many lives and live through others. We would like to express our gratitude to the staff at MetroHealth. They worked tirelessly to do all they could to save her life. We ask that the media respect our privacy during this difficult time. We know she is in God's hands.

On January 2, 2013 Block was performing a dance move in the second floor at Christie's Cabaret when she fell over the railing to the floor which was 15 feet.

The early investigation report suggested Block may have been pushed over the railing. But the final report of the tragic accident revealed the fall was an accident.

Officials with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) are trying to determine if they have jurisdiction to investigate this tragic accident. A decision to determine if an investigation will be granted or denied will be made in a few weeks.
