Travelling from New Jersey to lower Manhattan New York, a Seastreak Wall Street ferry made a hard landing at the pier, injuring at least 57 passengers on board.
Commuters tumbled to each others when a ferry hits the mooring as it arrived at South Street early Wednesday. Official said that one person is in critical condition.
Rescuers rushed to scene and gave first aid to the victims, while other were brought to the nearest hospital for treatment.
The ferry has a capacity of 400 and there were 343 on board including the five crew members.
People who were on the upper level suffered worst injuries, mostly they were standing while waiting for the ferry to finished is landing at the pier.
Seastreak ferry was schduled to arrive at the Pier 11 at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday.
