Rapper Freddy E was found dead in Renton on Saturday. Renton is a city located 11 miles southeast of central Seattle. The cause of Freddy E’s death is an apparent suicide, according to the statement released by the King County Medical Examiner’s office. Freddy E was 22 years old and his death was accounted to a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Freddy E’s real name was Frederick Eugene Buhl. He hosted JERKTV on YouTube. Some of the videos posted by Freddy E that had the most hits were called “What guys think about during sex” and “Freddy E does the cinnamon challenge.”
Freddy E was also known for posting spoken word videos. Freddy E’s father, Frederick Douglass Buhl, responded in a Facebook post that his family and the world have lost a talented, sensitive, brilliant young man who lit up the lives of others around him due to his own brilliance.
Screen grabs from Freddy E’s Twitter posts Saturday portray a very gloomy picture of the young rapper’s last few hours. Freddy E posted several times, stating how his day had been ruined and that the day could not have gotten any worse. He went on to say that it had been a long while since he suffered such heartbreak. The most disturbing elements of his might are recounted in his last seven tweets where he talked about holding a gun to his head. He also posted that he loved his family and sought God’s forgiveness. Finally he said that he was sorry.
The reason behind Freddy E taking his own life still remains unclear. However, it is being speculated that the apparent suicide may have resulted from a falling out with his ex-girlfriend, who goes by the name of Honey Cocaine.
Honey tweeted, “#Thirstballs #Thirstballs #Thirstballs.” Only a few moments later Freddy E wrote on Twitter, “Ain’t nobody thirsty”. The tweet by Freddy E, however, is not thought to be a direct reply to Honey Cocaine’s tweet.
Marquez Taylor, who was a friend of Freddy E, stated on his blog a comment made by Freddy E on Facebook that he loved Honey Cocaine and was willing to take a bullet for her.
Nick Fletcher, who belongs to the medical examiner’s office, said that an autopsy would be performed sometime on Monday.
Sadly, Freddy E is the second young rapper to take his own life recently. Pro Era’s Capital Steez committed suicide last month. He was 19.
