Yes, as Pogo said, "We have found the enemy, and he is us!" The wealthy and their merry band of corporate leaders/raiders have had 50 years of free rein to game the system and spread their tentacles into every aspect of our lives. They know how to hedge their bets, as well, just allowing the common man to smell the roses just enough to support their biased policies. As always, follow the money to discover the true intentions of this group of carpetbaggers. The NRA, with all of its inane pronouncements, is just one more pillar of defense for the entrenched moneyed class. This past election and campaign put the spotlight on many of these deplorable antics. Hopefully, Americans will not give up hope and throw in the towel, as we always have in the past, far to focused on the daily financial imperative of putting food on the table to care about what is destroying our country. I agree-- I couldn't have put it better.

The GOP has been weaving a tangled web for a long time and the NRA is one of their more prolific "weavers." See the new spin on things--we need good guys with guns in schools to stop bad guys with guns. No talk of the deadly killing machines designed to kill en masse, flooding our communities. Unfortunately, the financial sector is intricately woven in as an expert "weaver" and the symbiotic relation between all three--our politicians, the NRA and big money corporations are literally killing democracy in this country.
