It’s the final performances on “The X Factor” and this week each act must perform three songs – a season song, with a special guest, and a new song.

The night began with a message from Simon Cowell expressing the show’s feelings on the events in Newton that was followed by a performance from the finalists and eliminated contestants performing “You are not Alone”.

First up with her season song – a song they have performed sometime during the season – was Carly Rose with “Feeling Good”. Demi said that it was cool to watch how Carly Rose commanded the stage and gave it her all. Noting that she was there to win, Simon reiterated that he didn’t believe Carly was only 13 and that she sang better that the first time around. Britney said that it was shocking how bright Carly’s star was.

Country singer Tate Stevens sang “Anything Goes”. Britney said that Tate was right on with down the middle Country music. Demi called it a stadium performance; adding that she believes one day Tate will be making stadium performances. Simon agreed with Demi; adding Tate was authentic and made in America. Simon also noted that Tate had retained his integrity and sang brilliantly. Saying that he was really proud of Tate, LA noted that Tate hadn’t changed and was still lovable.

The girls of Fifth Harmony sang “Anything Can Happen”. LA called the girls magical; adding that they were the ones to beat. Britney agreed that the girls were magical; adding that it was definitely the best song choice. Demi said that she hopes America pulls for the girls; saying that they are powerful together. Simon said the group worked because the girls made it happen.

In round two the acts pair up with some guest stars for some all star performances. Carly Rose and Leann Rimes sang “How Do I Live Without You” in a performance that Britney called shockingly amazing. Leann called Carly an amazing talent.

Tate Stevens teamed up with Little Big Town for a performance of “Pontoon”. Kim of LBT said that Tate makes country music proud. Host Mario Lopez noted that Tate was grooving. LA said Tate looked natural and right at home.

Fifth Harmony teamed up with judge Demi Lovato for a performance of “Give Your Heart a Break”. Demi said it was so much fun working with the girls; adding that they were easy to work with and down to earth. Mario said they sounded like Sixth Harmony. Simon said Demi was sensational and the performance was perfection.

For round three the acts perform a new song and Carly Rose sang “Hallelujah”. LA called it an angelic moment and Carly didn’t over sing it; but he asked if it really was a $5 million performance. Demi said that Carly Rose sang like an angel; adding that Carly’s vocals impressed her. Simon said Carly sounded great and it was a beautiful version; adding that Carly hada good night. Britney said that one performance alone was worth $5 million.

Tate Stevens performed “Love You Like There’s No Tomorrow’. Saying that she always enjoyed what Tate did, Britney said Tate did great. Saying that she was going to miss seeing Tate on the stage, Demi called Tate so talented. Noting that it was a fantastic night for talent, Simon said that Tate represented his category very well; and added that Tate did not need to worry about his day job because soon they would be hearing about all of his record sales. LA noted that Tate consistently delivered and congratulated Tate’s family for pushing Tate into coming on the show.

In the final performance of the night Fifth Harmony performed one of Simon’s favourite songs with “Let it Be”. LA said that he really liked the magic, saying the performance was beautiful and the girls did the song justice. Britney said the girls have truly blossomed as a group and did a great job. Noting that it was sad coming to the end, Demi said that she was really proud of the girls. Saying that he was more than proud, Simon said the girls were not just a group but five great singers; adding that they really deserve to win.
