A knife-wielding intruder broke into's Nashville home early Friday morning, claiming to be her boyfriend. The police arrested him and found out that he was there on the singer's birthday.
Taylor Swift turned 23 on Friday and on her birthday, one of her fans tried to break into her Nashville home to probably surprise the country singer. The surprise would have been quite an unpleasant one, but thankfully the country singer was not at her home and the trespasser was arrested from her property. Swift was reportedly in England with her current boyfriend, Harry Styles, when the incident took place and it was reported to her after the trespasser had been arrested.
The trespasser was identified as 24-year-old Jacob Kulke. When the police arrested Kulke, he said that he was Swift's boyfriend and that he had broken into her home to surprise her. He was also carrying a knife in his hands and his motive was not immediately clear, so security officers were quite aggressive when they arrested him. He was first captured by the security at the singer's residence and they quickly called up the police.
Kulke was captured at around 2 a.m., when he was trying to jump the fence at Belle Meade estate and make it past a secured gate. When the police questioned him about why he had broken into the singer's home, he also revealed that he had taken a bus all the way from Wisconsin in order to be with Swift on her birthday. Kulke's Twitter profile also shows that he had attempted to contact her through the platform. The Twitter profile was indeed used to send a birthday tweet to Swift, and a day earlier he wrote on his profile that he “had to go see about a girl.”
Jacob Kulke's criminal records show that he has been convicted for domestic abuse, battery and disorderly conduct in the past. After being arrested for trespassing, he has been booked into Davidson County Jail and is being held on $10,000 bond.
Meanwhile, Taylor Swift is going quite strong with her current boyfriend, One Direction's Harry Styles. The two have been out and about in U.S. and London. They seem to be together everywhere.
So far, Swift has not responded to the trespassing incident that took place at her Nashville home.
