Tyrone today became the All-Ireland champions after performing an outstanding finish to beat Kerry 1-15 to 0-14 in this year's All-Ireland Football final and lift the Sam Maguire Trophy at Croke Park.

The teams traded points in the first half and Kerry led by one point, 0-8 to 0-7, at the interval.

Tommy McGuigan kicked the ball into the net for a goal a minute into the second half and Tyrone led by three points before Kerry fought back to lead.

The Red Hands scored five unanswered points to claim a four-point win.
