The Queen tribute band The Queen Extravaganza are planning a trip across the pond to North America early next year. Only 20 of the dates have been announced so far with about two thirds of them in Canada; however, more forthcoming dates for the tour have been promised.
Created by original Queen membersand Roger Taylor, The Queen Extravaganza is a tribute band that brings the live experience of the iconic rock band to longtime fans and a new generation of rockers. Band members – Jennifer Espinoza, Marc Martel, Brian Gresh, Tyler Warren, Francois-Oliver Doyon, Drandon Ethridge, and Spike Edney - were hand picked from an online competition by Taylor himself.
Taylor noted that Queen was only four members with no fancy technology; but with The Extravaganza they are pushing the musical boundaries. The 90 minute show features 22 of Queen’s biggest hits from the entire Queen catalogue. The Queen Extravaganza is the only tribute show that includes footage from the Queen archives.
During the course of their musical career Queen earned 12 multi platinum albums.
