The world’s most loved couple is having a baby.
The news of Kate Middleton’s pregnancy emerged today. Catherine, 30, who is affectionately known as “Kate” by the masses, was taken to King Edward VII Hospital in central London after she suffered acute morning sickness. Kate is expected to spend several days in hospital and will require rest for some time afterward, according to a statement issued by the royal palace.
It is believed that the announcement came prematurely because of Kate being rushed to hospital.
Kate’s parents were already aware that their daughter is expecting because Kate was taken ill while staying with her family at their home in Berkshire over the weekend. It is understood that Kate was unable to keep any food or water down. William was the one who finally took the decision, upon consulting with his doctor, to get Kate to hospital this afternoon.
William himself drove Kate into London from her family home in Berkshire accompanied by their personal protection officers. The royals declined the offer of an ambulance and opted for their own vehicle thus making their journey a low-key affair. Reports state that Kate walked into the hospital without assistance and was in good spirits despite being sickly.
Kate was reportedly hooked up to an intravenous drip in order to increase her depleted fluid and nutrient levels.
Prince William will remain at his wife’s bedside until later this evening.
The new royal addition will be born third in line to the throne afterand Prince William, respectively. The queen and Prince Philip as well as other royal individuals are “delighted” with this news.
