The National Assembly passed a de-weaponries resolution offered by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM). The resolution was offered by MQM leader Dr Farooq Sattar. PML-N and JUI-F opposed the resolution. It is said in the resolution weapons whish are scattering all over the country are dangerous for peace and the problem of terrorism should be seriously rooted out from the country. The thing to remember is that before ANP senator Shahi Syed had opposed the resolution as the party wanted to de-weaponries Karachi only while the MQM senators’ Mustafa Kamal and Babar Ghauri suggested to de-weaponries the complete country.
