Singapore's first strike in 26 years

The reasons behind Singapore strike due to bus drivers demanding higher pay reported for duty after two days of protest that angered the city-state's government.

Strikes and other forms of industrial action are extremely rare in Singapore.

The last strike in Singapore was staged in 1986, the manpower ministry said.

Strikes are illegal for workers in "essential services" such as transport unless they give a 14-day notice of their intent and comply with other requirements. The penalty for an illegal strike is a fine of up to Sg$2,000 ($1,636) or a maximum prison term of one year, or both.

But compare Singapore with Pakistan when no reason giving strike called from any political party in which entire country economy suffers but never the elected members or opposition members never took this matter very serious but using as strike called as a weapon to show their strength and power.

That reasons Pakistan not progress as much Singapore did due to lack of education, law & order situation, corruption, power crisis, un-employment all these factor not hidden from any common but even our leaders expecting foreign investment in Pakistan?

I must say after the World War II Japan so destroy by atomic bomb drop by United States and their economy system totally collapsed, than their wise and sincere leaders, plus entire nation pledge not called a single strike within 30 years, It means World War II end in 1945 till 1975 Japan labor union never called a strike call because they all loved with mother home land.

In Pakistan those who give called for strike and force to close the business activities ever asked whose wish or instructions all it happening, it is organized conspiracy which destroying Karachi economy which give more than 70% revenue to centre in the sample of Tax

When awake our leaders and realized what they gained after giving strike called and what satisfaction or reward they will get from which authority.

Why not our leaders follow the Japan & Singapore how they avoid strike calls but in Pakistan strike call is strongest weapon of political party to express their power so but pressure on Govt to meet their all sort of demands. Again very sorry to say no law in Pakistan for an illegal strike in the shape of fine prison term of one year, or both.

Thanking You

Yours faithfully
