A Minnesota man from Little Falls named Byron David Smith has been taken into custody on suspicion of second-degree murder after accused of killing two people who allegedly broke into his home on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 22, reports ABC News.
The 64- years- old, shot and killed two cousins, an 18-year-old female named Haley Kifer and a 17-year-old male named Nicholas Brady and put their bodies in his basement telling police a day later on Friday as he he panicked to call 911 after the crime, according to KSTP-TV.
‘He was very traumatized by what had occurred and didn’t know who to call or what to do and that is very sad that the whole even happened,’ Kathy Lange, Smith's friends told KSTP-TV.
"Smith immediately told the deputies that he had shot and killed two people breaking into his home the day prior," Morrison County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.
