TV presenter Melinda Messenger and her husband, Wayne Roberts, have called it quits after 14 years of marriage. An agent for Melinda confirmed the news in a statement, saying that the split was “very amicable.”

According to reports, former glamor model and her husband opted to end their marriage after going through a trial separation in 2008. In a statement, Melinda’s agent said, “Melinda and Wayne are now separated after a very long time. It's one of those things.”

“They are very good friends, and all that matters is the children, and they will make sure they are well looked after. It's very amicable,” the statement added.

41-year-old Melinda Messenger and Wayne Roberts tied the knot in Bali in 1998 and have three children - Morgan, 12, Flynn, 10, and Evie, eight. The couple went through a trial separation for eight months before getting back together when she starred on “Dancing on Ice”.

The pair opened up about their trial separation at the time of their original split in an interview with Hello! magazine and also posed together for the photo shoot.

A year later, following their reunion, Melinda admitted that “Dancing on Ice” was a major factor in bringing them back together after their difficulties.

She said, “Last year was hard for all of us. So it's nice to be immersed in something that is really fun and exciting and difficult. My head can't go anywhere else - I have to be completely focused on the skating.”

“It's a welcome relief from the distresses of last year and it helps us put everything else aside,” she added.

Earlier this year, Melinda confessed in an interview with The Sun that she couldn’t believe she and Wayne were still together.

She told the publication April, “We have still been working through a lot of stuff but it is good now. I am still constantly gobsmacked we are still together after what we have been through.”

She went on, “We all have times when it is amazing and times when we are like, ‘Why are we together?’ and we probably always will to some degree. Of course it would be amazing to say we will be together forever but we are constantly growing and changing.”

“Who knows where we will be in the future but I like to think we will be together,” she added.
