Iron man streak of playing games end for Detroit LT Jeff Backus on Thursday

Detroit Michigan. Detroit Lions left tackle Jeff Backus who has the Detroit Lions team record for starting in 186 consecutive games as left tackle will end on Thursday by a hamstring injury. He has been ruled inactive by the Lions coaches.

Backus has played every game at left tackle for the Detroit Lions since 2000 which is an incredible feat. Backus will replaced by rookie Riley Reiff.

Safety Louis Delmas returns to the Lions after he missed the last three weeks due to an injury to his left knee.

Lions players that have been inactive for the Lions Thanksgiving football versus the Houston Texans are receiver Titus Young, defensive tackle Corey Williams and corner back Jacob Lacey. Young was ruled inactive for discipline reasons, Williams and Lacey due to injuries.

The Lions player replacements for the inactive players are Ryan Broyles who replaces Young, Nick Fairley who replaces Williams and Drayton Florence who replaces Lacey.

Also on the Lions roster that have been inactive are quarterback Kellen Moore and offensive tackle Corey Hilliard.
