Police blamed a kidnapping gang for the abduction

South Asia human rights commission has revealed that there is an alarming increase in kidnapping and disappearance of children in Pakistan. Only within one year more than 7000 children are kidnapped in kidnapping and disappearance events. Kidnapping children mostly belong to Karachi. Within one year more than 4000 children kidnapped or disappeared only from Karachi. It is further stated in report that the abduction of new born children has increased to a dangerous extent. Kidnapping cases mostly occurred in Lahore, Karachi, Hyderabad, Islamabad and Rawalpindi
