After performing songs by musical divas on performance night, the 12 acts on “The X Factor” face a double elimination…and the first one comes right away in somewhat of a surprise to fans who watched the show on Wednesday night.
The show will again reveal the voter rankings of the artists at the end of the show. Last week country singer Tate Stevens took the top spot; did he maintain his spot at the top???
The act with the lowest number of votes and the first to be eliminated was one of Simon’s groups…
Six time Grammy Award winning country stargave a world debut performance of her new song “State of Grace”.
HostLopez announced that the results of the nine safe artists were in no particular order as he and co-host Khloe Kardashian Odom announced the acts in the top 10.
and Cece Frey
Fifth Harmony, Jennel Garcia, and Paige Thomas remained with only one of them safe and moving into the top 10, the remaining two acts were in the bottom and must sing for their lives for judge’s votes.
After a commercial break, Mario Lopez announced that Fifth Harmony was the last act safe and into the top 10 leaving Paige and Jennel to sing for their lives.
After the sing off Mario asked each judge for the name of the act they wanted to send home. After LA and Britney named Jennell, Simon refused the announce his name until after Demi have given her decision. After attempts to coax an answer from Simon, Mario said that since Simon was the boss they would go to Demi; who also tried to throw it back to Simon without success. Demi chose to send Paige home. If Simon chose Paige, then the decision would go into deadlock and the fan vote would determine the eliminated artist; but if Simon chose Jennel then she would be eliminated.
Saying he saw the artist with the most potential in the sing off performance, Simon chose to send Jennel home and saving Paige.
The top 10 voter rankings…
10. Paige Thomas
9. Arin Ray
8. Beatrice Miller
7. Diamond White
6. Fifth Harmony
5. Cece Frey
4. Emblem 3
3. Vino Alan
2. Carly Rose
And maintaining the number one spot was Tate Stevens who simply thanked everyone for their votes.
Next week it’s a Thanksgiving Spectacular as “The X Factor” airs on its normal days of Wednesday and Thursday.
