Mogadishu: High level delegates headed by foreign ministers of Iran and Turkish have separately arrived in the Somali capital Mogadishu today on Wednesday having meetings with top officials of the Somali federal government, reports said.
Some of the new executive council of the Somali federal government has welcomed the delegates from Turkish and Iran at Mogadishu international airport this morning and then were escorted to the house of parliament and presidential palace.
Foreign minister of Turkish government, Ahmed Da’ud Ogle met with the lawmakers at house of the parliament saying that his government would construct the parliament of Somalia then he met with president of the Somali federal government, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and discussing ties between two countries.
He said, “This is my second home, Turkey and Somalia are sister countries, they have great ties, this is also my second foot to the Somali capital Mogadishu, I have greetings from Turkish president and prime minister to the Somali government”.
Similarly, Iranian minister of foreign affairs, Ali Akbar Salihi also met with President Hassan Sheikh Mohamed today and he said that his government opens embassy and health center in the capital Mogadishu and congratulated Somalia on the new era.
Mr. Ali Akbar said, “Somalia elected, president and permanent government, the republic of Iran is committed to support Somalia, we open our embassy and a clinic in Mogadishu”.
On the other hand, President of the Somali federal government Hassan Sheikh Mohamud received other delegation from China republic today in Mogadishu.
Chinese diplomats were headed by Lee Wo, representative of construction companies for Africa and promised they would bring 49 contraction companies implementing different projects and work all development programs in Somalia.
The arrival of foreign diplomats streaming to the Somali capital Mogadishu from Tukey, Iran and China today alone comes a day after the Somali lawmakers passed the executive council of the Somali government yesterday and a time Somalia moved from transition to a permanent government.
