On September 15th, 2008. Our school went to the Cottonwood River, we found that highway 99 was closed because of the flood. So everyone that wanted to get to town going on highway 99 would have to take the flood gates. When I go to school it usually only takes 3 minutes, but when I went to school September 15th I had to take the flood gates, so it took about 20 minutes to get to school.
