Wheaton Illinois. DuPage County State District Attorney Robert Berlin said Elzbieta Plackowska, 40, is accused of killing two children ages 7 and age 5 Tuesday night because she was angry her husband who is employed as a truck driver and works nights was often away from home and she felt neglected leaving her with the children.
Plackowska told investigators by killing the children her husband would feel her pain of being with the children and being at home in a maid role which she said was beneath her.
Plackowska told investigators she saw Justin 7, and Olivia Dwordkowski jumping on a bed and she started to kill Justin by stabbing him at least 100 times then proceeded to kill Olivia since she witnessed her brother getting killled and keep her silent.
The killing of the two children occured at the home of Olivia's mother who works the evening shift as a nurse. Plackowska was the baby sitter for the evening. She had prevously taken care of the children before. Plackowska also stabbed the two dogs of the family. It is unclear if the dogs died during the attack.
Investigators said they found blood stained knives. One in the kitchen and in Plackowska's automobile.
Plackowska told investigators a stalker had killed the children since the stalker claimed the children were possessed by the devil. Detectives found her story inconsistent during the questioning of the suspect.
Plackowska came to the United States in 2000 on a tourist visa from her native Poland. It is unclear if she is in the United States as a legal citizen since she did not become a legal United States citizen. She had no violent crimes on her record but did have a DUI misdemeanor charge against her in 2002.
DuPage County Judge John Kinsella order Plackowska to be held in prison without bond. Plackwoska during the hearing did not say anything. She only said she could afford to hire an attorney. Judge Kinsella appointed a public defender to handle her case.
It is a shame that a woman decides to kill children because she was not happy what she had. Two children are killed and the alleged killer may get to spend the rest of her life in prison as a result.
