San Francisco Giants Victory Parade

It was a busy and early day for San Francisco baseball fans. Public transportation was packed heading to downtown San Francisco well before the parade start time of 11 am. The streets were filled with fans hoping to catch a glimpse of their favorite Giants player as they road along Market Street. Today, going to work was secondary to standing on your tippy toes in the middle of a large crowd for several hours.

The parade started a little after 11 am. The first half of the parade was filled with parade sponsors throwing their products at you (chocolate, potato chips, t-shirts) and prominent season ticket holders riding along in trolley cars...while throwing candy as you (it was Halloween after all). Finally, around 12 pm the players started to drive by in individual convertibles and through a haze of confetti you were able to see the likes of Barry Zito, Hunter Pence, Sergio Romo, and other Giants players as they drove by.

Here is a video from the day.
