Michael Vick

Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid said on Wednesday when he met the media at a news conference Michael Vick will remain his starting quarterback for now.

The Eagles players on Wednesday have the day off. Vick and Reid will meet the media on Thursday to discuss football related issues.

The Philadelphia Eagles have lost three straight football games after starting the season with three wins and one loss. The Eagles lost their last football on Sunday in Philadelphia with a 30-17 defeat at the hands of the undefeated Atlanta Falcons.

Vick's performance as quarterback of the Eagles in the 2012 regular season football has not been very good. There was speculation that Vick would be replaced by rookie Nick Foles since Andy Reid said there hinted after the game on Sunday there was going to be some changes in player personnel.

For now Vick remains the starting quarterback when the Eagles travel to New Orleans to take on the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football on ESPN. Stay tuned a quarterback controversy could be brewing in Philadelphia soon.

Thanks for the report. The problem with replacing Vick this week is that they face the Saints. This probably wasn't the right week to make this type of move. If Vick has another poor game, I'm sure the plug will be pulled on Vick.

That is true. Andy Reid said recently he never thought of replacing Vick as his quarterback. Either Andy is lying or the media trying to sell newspapers made up that story. It would be dumb for Reid to bench Vick when the Saints defense has been known to make a journeyman look like Joe Montana for one day.
