With less than a week to go to the general election, Hurricane Sandy has caused both candidates to temporarily halt their campaigns and focus on the devastation caused by the storm....
And Romney is on both sides of the issue of FEMA this time. During the primaries, he wanted to turn FEMA back to the states and preferably privatize disaster relief. Several of the communities in New Jersey have asked the Federal government to waive their share of the cost of clean up from Sandy. They don't even have the money to pay the 25% required to paid by states and local communities. I hope everyone remembers "Good job, Brownie." during Katrina. when Michael Brown was useless in New Orleans. Now he is in Colorado giving advice to the President, saying the President acted to quickly in response to this storm. I'll bet Governor Chris Christie, Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Governor Andrew Cuomo and Governor Malloy don't fell that way.
