Amtrak announces limited service in northeast area starts on Wednesday

Washington D. C. The Amtrak railroad company announced on Tuesday night that limited service between Newark New Jersey and stations south will be starting on Wednesday.

Train service in Viriginia includes the cities of Lynchburg, Richmond and Newport News.

Keystone train service in Pennsylvania and train service between Boston Massachusetts and Portland Maine.

Due to heavy flooding in the train tunnels in the East and Hudson River in New York City will prevent Amtrak train service in the New York City metropolitan area.

There will be no Amtrak train service between the cities of New York City and Boston. No train service of Alcoa express trains for the Northeast corridor of the United States due to the heavy floods from Super storm Sandy.

The date for resuming train service in the affected areas has not been set.
