The who's who from Bollywood along with Television and sports personalities attended the first edition of the People's Choice Awards in India.

Speaking about the awards, Priyanka Chopra told a leading daily, "I have seen the US version of these awards a lot of times, and I think Colors is the best platform to be presenting these awards. I love live acts, and I always try and do something different, and that's what I will be doing at the People's Choice Awards this time too."

Akash Sharma, co-founder and MD, Bulldog Media & Entertainment (who are organising the awards in India) says, "When Bulldog was invited to the People's Choice Awards in the US a few years ago, I knew it was an amazing franchise. But what hit us the most was that this was a show that gave a voice to the people."
