Many olives and oils found in your local Supermarket typically don’t show what the Australian Olive Industry is really about. Today’s full-fledging Olive Industry has a lot to offer, whereby thousands of Australian Olive Growers strive to produce some of the best quality oils and olives on the world scene.
However, consumers have lost something great along the way of the pharmacy and supermarket product offerings. The truth… Extra Virginity has been missing.
Many consumers today are health conscious and consequently buy these brands offered in supermarkets because they are perceived to be more healthful. Unfortunately, an Authentic Extra Virgin from Italy is not available for $5/L it is more in the vicinity of EUR45/L.
However many consumers don’t realise what true Extra Virgin oil tastes like. If only you knew how special the attributes of Extra Virgin are and the true meaning of quality.
A true Extra Virgin should be flavourful with fresh aromas almost buzzing out of the bottle, never greasy on the palate… only smooth… yet many supermarket oils tend to be lifeless, old oils and some have undergone some kind of refining... a vast difference many are yet to discover.
