The whole incident was caught on CCTVshows the woman and her parents approaching a street corner before a baby girl tumbles to the ground. The trio stop for a moment look back at the infant before continuing to walk and leaving it behind.
Seconds later a bystander and a couple notice the baby and emergency services and police are called to the scene.
The baby, a healthy girl ,very lucky to survive the fall was named Ecem Ahu by hospital staff after she was brought in by police.
Hospital staff told the The Hurriyet Daily News, they found the newborn with her umbilical cord already tied up, which suggests she was delivered prior to being found.
Later police who identified the teenage mother of baby ,after being questioned told she did not know about the birth. She said she did not notice the baby when it tumbled out of her body: "Something fell from me. I thought it was a blood clot. I didn't know it was the baby."
But hospital staff said baby was not born while walking. She was born earlier because her umblical cord was tied, otherwise she could be died because of loss of blood.
Police also couldn't find any trace of blood at the incident.
The CCTV footage, which was first posted in June this year, has gone viral on YouTube and led to speculation that the woman dropped the child on purpose.
The baby was given to Turkey’s Child Protection Agency after being discharged from hospital.
