3 trailer shows a new side to the franchise
The official trailer to the third installment of the Iron Man Franchise has been released worldwide today and from the looks of things, it is all set to thrill and chill audiences all around the World.
The trailer shows the aftermath of the life of Tony Stark since his battle against the alien life forms and Loki- shown in the Avengers movie. The witty billionaire doesn’t seem to be in control of himself and questions his entire superhero persona.
A new villain threatens the existence of Iron Man; perhaps the toughest nemesis Start has ever faced. The trailer shows his armored suits being blown to pieces and a heavy missile attack to his beloved Stark Tower. Iron Man, played by the charming Robert Downey Jr., has to face attack on all fronts from the Mandarin, played by Ben Kingsley. The villain is seen to be with a pony tail and bear resemblance to Mortal Kombat character “Goro”.
Stark explains his lack of sleep and his restlessness following the attack at Manhattan and believes that he doesn’t want anyone to take away the one thing he cares about the most; Pepper Potts’ played by the beautiful Gwyneth Paltrow.
The villain sabotages whatever Stark owns and opens himself stating
"Ladies, children, sheep," the Mandarin says. "Some people call me a terrorist. I consider myself a teacher. Lesson No. 1: Heroes. There is no such thing." In the comics, the Mandarin was a Chinese exile.
This is whole new direction for the franchise and the overall “hero can do anything” story has been changed to the ever famous superhero crisis of identity. The movie is directed by Shane Black; known for his extraordinary Lethal Weapon. Despite being a new comer to the superhero side of the industry, Black is known for his nick for sinister action films, with a tinge of comedy. He shows the other side of Iron Man; the one beyond the heart robbing, witty and self centered Tony Stark to a one with an identity crisis.
Iron Man 3 is set to be released World Wide on May 3rd 2013. The cast features, James Badge Dale, and Rebecca Hall. Fans from around the world were awed by a very thrilling trailer of Iron Man, where Stark’s life, as we know, is blown to pieces by the Mandarin.
