Gun control debate heats up in US

Republican who you should not vote for: Rep. Joe Walsh.

Walsh is seeking his second term in the 8th District of Illinois against war veteran Tammy Duckworth. Walsh is one of the most despicable politicians in the United States.

In a recent campaign ad, he claims that he is a fiscal conservative because he chose to refuse health care coverage from the US government. However, he was forced into not receiving coverage because he failed to pay child support. Matter of fact, the checks that he receives as a congressman are garnished every pay period so that he can pay child support. How can a person claim to be a fiscal conservative when a judge was forced to order Walsh to pay child support?

Democrat who you should not vote for: Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr.

Jackson is seeking his 10th term in the 2nd District against Brian Woodworth. Currently, Jackson is in Mayo Clinic suffering from bipolar disorder. It's more important for him to now focus on restoring his mental health instead of representing an entire district since he has not been present at the House of Representatives for most of this year. Plus, he possibly could be indicted for trying to buy the open US Senate seat during the reign of former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich. It's unfortunate that his life is spiraling out of control because the 2nd District was specifically redistricted so that a 3rd major airport would have been added to the Chicago area, which would have brought thousands of jobs to the state.

Republican who you should not vote for: Rep. Adam Kinzinger.

Kinzinger is seeking his second term in the 16th District against Wanda Rohl. Due to redistricting, I am glad that he will no longer be my representative in Washington, D.C. I have disapproved of every vote that he made in the House of Representatives these past two years. He actually voted to have veterans' benefits cut even though he continues to serve in the military. He doesn't care if other veterans receive their pensions due to cuts because he will receive one for being a US representative. 16th District of Illinois, please do not vote for Kinzinger, because he will do his best to not represent you in Congress.

Democrat who you should not vote for: Rep. Bobby Rush.

Rush is seeking his 11th term in the 1st District of Illinois against Donald Peloquin. I do admire the fact that he was a political activist, but that was 40 years ago. He has been living off of the reputation of being a former Black Panther 40 years ago. Since he has been in office for the past 20 years, the community that he represents in Chicago has been falling apart. However, for some strange reason, people continue to vote for him. It's like the people in his district want to remain mediocre. Here is a historical fact of how ridiculous the people in this district are. The only election that Barack Obama ever lost was to Rep. Rush in the 1st District in 2000.
