Hyderabad Sindh Oct 23,2012 Election Commission (EC) disposed the reference that was against the Interior Minister Rehman Malik. The EC decided not to disqualify him. Minister for Petroleum Dr Asim Hussain has resigned from the membership of the Senate.

According to the high placed sources Federal Election Commission has dealt reference against Interior Minister Rehman Malik who will remain a member of the Senate.

Secretary Election Commission Afzal Khan said that the conversation will take no further action against Rehman Malik. He said the decision was made after receiving the opinion of the Senate. Chairman Senate had rejected the disqualification of Rehman Malik.

Petroleum Dr Asim Hussain, Advisor to the other side, private engagements decision to resign from the membership of the Senate, the chairman of the Senate so submitted his resignation was acting chairman Sabir Baloch Senate has passed today.
