Skooter reporting 10/22/12
At the suburban Milwaukee beauty salon a gunman opened fire, killing three people and injuring four others before shooting himself fatally, police said. His wife is an employee at the Azana Salon & Spa, and he was also accused of slashing his wife’s tires.
The gunman was identified as 45-year-old Radcliffe Haughton, a resident of Brown Deer, Wisconsin. Haughton had been placed under a restraining order and ordered to surrender his firearms to local authorities this month in connection with a domestic abuse case involving his wife.
All three of those shot to death were female, Brookfield Police Chief Daniel Tushaus said. Their ages and identities were not immediately given, and they would not say whether Haughton's wife, who was a spa employee, was among the victims.
Haughton was found dead of a seemingly self-inflicted gunshot wound at the crime scene, police said.
Four wounded female victims ranging in age from 22 to 40 were taken to Milwaukee's Froedtert hospital. Their conditions were still unclear, though the hospital said two of the victims had surgery.
