The Giants are facing is elimination from this National League Championship Series, this 2012 season unless Barry Zito can cool down Cardinals batting lineup. But we've seen the Giants comes back to the forefront in Cincinnati last week.

The Giants turned to Barry Zito lastweek in a similar situation, with the lefty pitch after just 2 2/3 innings, then Tim Lincecum came on the scene to shut down the Reds and let the Giants run away with that win, forcing a Game 5. But Lincecum is not available this time and Cardinals batters are just fiesty as the Reds.

The Cardinals batted .198 through the first three games of the NLCS before Matt Holliday, Jon Jay and Yadier Molina had two RBIs apiece as part of a 12-hit attack. Rookie Matt Carpenter, replacing an injured Beltran in the lineup, went 1 for 3 with two runs scored after he hit a two-run homer in Wednesday's 3-1 victory.

St. Louis will send Lance Lynn on the mound who struggled in his Game 1 start, giving up four runs in 3 2/3 innings. Lyn will face Buster Posey is 2 for 14 with no RBIs in this series yet, Hunter Pence is 2 for 15 with his solo homer Thursday and Pablo Sandoval was 3 for 16 with two-run homer in the ninth in Game 4.
