Bettman said owners were unanimous the season could not begin without a new collective bargaining agreement.

The NHLPA submitted three possible counter proposals to the NHL's latest offer but all were rejected. Commissioner Gary Bettman said that the proposals were "nowhere close" to what was offered by the league. On Thursday, Bettman said..."we were done in an hour today because there was really nothing there."

It's time to call BS on BOTH SIDES. First the players. You guys are making more money than you ever could have imagined for doing something that you love. Get over yourselves...the NHL is NOT the only game in town. I'd much rather watch hard working juniors then you guys anyhow. Now the owners. You locked out the players. The NHLPA offered to play while the collective bargaining process was ongoing. The season could have started on schedule and continued as long as the negotiations were ongoing in good faith.

Owners, take your billions and puck off...Players, go play in Russia...see how much u love it there. Shame on all of you!
