The NFC West title is at stake as Seattle Seahawks vs San Francisco 49ers game are all set tonight Thursday Night Football at Candlestick Park. Check this page for Seahawks vs 49ers live score updates.

Jim Harbaugh is looking to bounce back after the worst defeat of his NFL coaching career against the Giants. They are up against the surging defensive team in the league, the Seahawks in a matchup of co-division leaders tonight.

San Francisco (4-2) have to dust-off to catch up the short week practice and move on from a 26-3 home loss to New York on Sunday Night Football. The 49ers allowed six sacks to Alex Smith who was also intercepted three times. Harbaugh acknowledged later that it was just a wrong game plan last Sunday but can't afford for another one today.

The 49ers employed mainly shotgun formation, with lots of short passes against the Giants will likely focus on their rushing game against the Seahawks. Frank Gore who had 14 rushes for 106 yards and a touchdown against the Bills is ready to return to action.

David Akers performed well against the Seahawks last season but is 11 for 16 this year after missing from 43 and 52 yards Sunday. Left tackle Joe Staley won't be available tonight due to a concussion suffered against New York.

Meanwhile, Seahawks (4-2) is looking for third winning streak after rallying for a 24-23 home victory over New England on Sunday. Russell Wilson went 16 of 27 for 293 yards, throwing two of his three touchdowns including Sydney Rice 46-yard winner.

Seahawks rank second in the NFL with 70.0 rushing yards allowed per game. Seattle needs star running back Marshawn Lynch to be more productive tonight who was held 41 yards on 15 carries against the Patriots.

The last time both team met was Seahawks 33-17 loss Sept. 11, 2011, at Candlestick but Wilson wasn't there yet. What are the fans are saying for Seahawks vs 49ers.

I didn’t think that this week’s matchup would be for the edge in the NFC West, but I hope both teams are ready for a defensive showdown. I thought the Seahawks were going to have a strong defense, but didn’t realize that Russell Wilson would be playing at this high a level. This game is going to be really exciting, and I’ve already set a reminder for it through my Hopper’s GameFinder app. A coworker at DISH told me about this feature and it’s helped me keep up with when the Seahawks are on TV. I think it’s going to be close, but the Seahawks will squeak by and pull of an upset tonight!
