Growing up in New York you start to appreciate modern art and architecture. New York has architecturally significant buildings in a wide range of styles from the Woolworth Building to the Chrysler Building and the list goes on. Now the Swiss architects Herzog and de Meuron who built the beautiful Beijing National Stadium (Bird's Nest) have set their sight on New York City with an incredible 57-story residential tower consisting of 145 unique apartments. Imagine each apartment is stacked up in way that it feels like you're dangling off a cliff. You might feel sick in the morning waking up at the edge of a high rise.
According to H&M, to achieve this look they will have to use cantilevers. The building will be located at 56 Leonard Street in Tribeca. The units are to priced from $3.5m to $33 million for a top shantyl. Rumor has it some of the Google money is looking to park in Tribeca. This might be a good place to film the next Sex in the City.
