Tens of millions of people watched Sunday with fascination and anxiety spectacular parachute jump Austrian Felix Baumgartner, who crossed for the first time the sound barrier in free fall. In Austria, the reactions are particularly proud. Austrian President Heinz Fischer has posted this message on Facebook: "I warmly congratulate Felix Baumgartner for his great success has been achieved with courage and perseverance and attracts him to the attention of the world." Jesus Diaz, who covered the event live for the technology site Gizmodo, wrote that he "cried" watching the successful completion of the jump. "He did it, guys.
