Detroit Tigers 3 NY Yankees 0
The Yankee bats were silent yet again as the team wasted a nice start by pitcher Hiroki Kuroda. Kuroda was perfect into the 6th inning but received no run support from the troubled Yanks. A-Rod finally got a hit (single) in the 9th but the cat was already out of the bag. Robinson Cano, a feared hitter during the regular season, is 0-26 so far and that is a post season record. Alex Rodriguez is 0-18 against right handers and at times looks lost at the plate. Anibal Sanchez pitched a gem for the Tigers who are now up 2-0 heading back to Detroit. It's looking good for the Tigers who can take a stranglehold on the series in Game Three on Tuesday night. They send their ace Justin Verlander to the mound against Phil Hughes for New York. Game Three is at 8pm EST on Tuesday night in Detroit.
