In a groundbreaking move, executive producer Pam Veasey has created an episode of the CBS hit show “CSI:NY” that will not carry any dialogue…at least for the first half of the October 19 show. Instead the scenes will be accompanied by the music of four time Grammy Award winning rockers Green Day.

In setting up the promos for the new season, producers promised “CSI:NY” fans a story line that included the entire Messer family – including baby Lucy. Lindsay and Lucy are on the scen when an assassin attempts to kill a political candidate. Lindsay is injured and the CSI’s must chase the perpetrator. In creating the show Veasey, who also wrote the episode, said, “my ultimate goal was to tell a story without dialogue and Green Day’s music and lyrics beautifully accompanied the visuals making it a very special episode.”

As the scenes unfold “Stop When the Red Lights Flash”, “Amy”, “Night Life”, “Kill the DJ”, and “The Forgotten” from the Green Day album “¡UNO!” and the yet unreleased albums “DOS!” and “¡TRÉ!” will air. Green Day members said, “we were stoked when we found out CSI;NY wanted to use our music instead of dialogue to narrate the first few acts fo the episode. It’s the first time something like this has been done on the series, and we are blown away with what we’ve seen.”

“CSI;NY” anchors the Friday night line up for CBS airing at 8pm eastern and pacific time.
