Kansas City Missouri. Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports National Football League (NFL) insider reports Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt has offered his general manager Scott Piolli a two year contract extension. Piolli has yet to sign the contract extension due to the buyout language in the contract.
Some fans of the football team have asked for Piolli to be terminated. An airplane carrying a banner asking for Piolli's termination flew over Arrowhead Stadium last Sunday.
Piolli has been the Chiefs general manager since 2009. The Chiefs in the 2012 football season are 1 win and 4 losses. The team record overall since 2009 under Piolli has been there is 22 wins and 32 losses.
Piolli has been a front office executive with the Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens, New York Jets and New England Patriots.
During his time with the New England Patriots from 2001-2008 Piolli as director and then vice president of player personel the Patriots won three Super Bowl titles.
Hunt and Piolli have made no comments about the CBS football report.
