Jetblue offers 'election protection'

I've heard several high-profile folks say they will leave the U.S. if their team doesn't win this November. One of them, singer Cher, has said that she doesn't know if she can "breathe the same air as Romney" if he wins.

That conservative hot giant bag of gas on the radio, Rush Limbaugh, had promised to leave if President Obama's Affordable Care Act became law, but sadly he is not a man of his word and is still here spewing his particular brand of toxin daily.

For all those who feel that they cannot live in this country if the opposition gains or remains in power, fear not, for JetBlue Airways is offering what they call "Election Protection."

On Nov. 6, when the votes are tallied and the results announced (if there are no hanging, dimpled or pregnant chad-like controversy holding up Democracy), JetBlue will be offering a free ride out to any destination of your choice--providing they go there.

So whether you choose the balmy Caribbean or elsewhere--they go almost everywhere and I can attest to the fact that flights to Barbados, the Turks and Caicos, the Bahama, Antigua or the Cayman Islands, will take you to a delicious tropical treat and traveling "Blue" is always a smooth experience--well, almost. (I have close ties so I know).

Incidentally the Bahamas and the Cayman Islands are two of candidate Mittens favorite places to stash some of his millions. You may even be able do a little sleuthing in between snorkeling while you're there, depending on whose side you're on.

In their promo video seen above, the airline, with their main hub based at New York's John F. Kennedy Airport, promises to help with the disappointment by easing your transition, so to speak.

On its Facebook page the airline writes:

"On November 6th, America will elect the next U.S. President. If things don't go your way, don't worry. Here's your chance to get a free flight out of the country with JetBlue. Participate in our poll and login to Facebook to enter. If you change your mind you can always come back or not, it's a free country."

Everyone seems to be getting into the action this election. From "coffee polls" offered at 7-Eleven to pizza at Pizza Hut, companies are capitalizing on the 2012 presidential race.

As we await the vice presidential debate about to start in under one hour, anticipation is high to see who will win "fight night"--"Loose Cannon" Joe Biden or "Mr. Charts and Graphs" Paul Ryan.

Last Wednesday's presidential candidates took on each other in a 90-minute duel, with Romney declared the winner of that bout.

No matter who you're rooting for, just remember JetBlue will be there for you. That is if you choose to chuck it all if your candidate loses on the big day less than a month away.

If you like to write about U.S. politics and Campaign 2012, enter "The American Pundit" competition. Allvoices is awarding four $250 prizes each month between now and November. These monthly winners earn eligibility for the $5,000 grand prize, to be awarded after the November election.

Yes they do Punditty. I must add that to the article, especially seeing as it's one of Mitt's favorite places (:

HEHEHE! Well, I guess you'll have to enter to win a free trip with JetBlue!

I had no idea you can save that much on taxes. Nor how much more money is worth than home.

Can we get a written, enforceable promise they will leave?

I doubt it but I wouldn't mind seeing Limbaugh leave and stay gone permanently.
