Manila – An improvised bomb exploded early Thursday in front of a hotel in the southern Philippines’ Cagayan De Oro City, killing two people and wounding two police officers, police reports said.
Police reports reaching Manila said an unknown suspect remotely set off the cellular-phone triggered explosive at 2 a.m. tucked in front of Maxandrea Hotel on J.R. Borja and Aguinaldo Streets, killing with shrapnels a nearby hotel male employee and a 60-year old bystander and wounding police officers Rogelio Galilando and Dexter Gano who were rushed for treatment to Northern Mindanao Medical Center.
Police investigators said they looked into hotel labor dispute and terrorism as motive for the bombing.
