Skooter reporting 10/11/12
The “30 Rock” star Alec Baldwin is off the hook when the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office has declined to prosecute the actor for his brawl with a photographer, sources familiar with the case said tonight.
According to reports, Baldwin ran into a Daily News photographer, Marcus Santos, on June 19 after the lensman spotted the actor leaving the City Clerk’s Office to get a marriage license. Baldwin punched him on the chin, Santos told police. But there was no crime that took place, prosecutors claimed.
A source told The Post that no charges will be brought and the matter has been dropped entirely. Baldwin’s conduct did not rise to the level of a crime.
Alan Abramson, Baldwin’s lawyer, Matthew Hiltzik, Baldwin’s spokesman, and the DA’s Office declined to comment on the matter.
