Sarah Palin has responded to criticism regarding her dramatic weight loss in a recent interview. The controversial politician, who shows off a shockingly thin figure in pictures that are circulating online these days, retaliated by claiming she is writing a fitness book.
Sarah Palin was caught in a web of furor after pictures of her recently hit the internet, showing her new skinny look. The former governor responded to the controversy by revealing that she is working on a fitness and diet book with her family.
She told People magazine, “Our family is writing a book on fitness and self-discipline focusing on where we get our energy and balance as we still eat our beloved homemade comfort foods!”
According to reports, Sarah Palin’s oldest daughter, Bristol Palin, who shed pounds while appearing on ABC's “All-Star: Dancing with the Stars”, is also working with her on the book, which she described as “unique and motivating.”
The 2008 Republican vice-presidential nominee and Fox News commentator added, “We promise you what we do works and allows a fulfilling quality of life and sustenance anyone can enjoy.”
It is not yet known whether 48-year-old Palin has a contract for the upcoming book or when the work will be published.
Sarah Palin was caught on camera strolling through California's Studio City, dressed in an outfit that showed off her trim figure. In the online photos, she is wearing tight black jeans and a crop top with high wedges - a far cry from her conservative style - that garnered widespread attention in social media circles.
Back in 2008, the famous politician spent more than $150,000 on her designer wardrobe while on the campaign trail alongside former Republican Presidential nominee John McCain. However, when she attended the Republican convention, she looked bulky and frumpy. But the former Alaska governor has lost a significant amount of weight since then.
Palin previously dished on how she sticks to a low-carb diet, telling the Wall Street Journal, “My family and I eat a healthy diet heavy in wild Alaskan seafood, moose, caribou and fresh fruit. I guess my biggest pitfall is breakfast. I know it's the most important meal of the day but I still haven't bought into it. I hate to admit it, but a skinny white-chocolate mocha is my staple in the morning.”
Sarah Palin has been joined by her husband, Todd, 48, and daughter Willow at the “Dancing with the Stars” studios to cheer on Bristol on the TV show.
