PHILIPPINE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OFFICE SIGNS MOU WITH WIPO

The Philippine Permanent Mission to the United Nations in Geneva reported to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) that the Philippine Intellectual Property Office and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on communications by electronic means under the procedures of the Madrid System at the fringes of the 2012 WIPO General Assemblies last October 8.

The signing ceremony was held at the WIPO Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.

The Philippines is the third ASEAN Member State to accede to the Madrid Protocol, which entered into force for the country on 25 July 2012.
