Teaching and non-teaching personnel at the Olongapo City National High School equally experienced the pains attached to the use of “Biometrics” machine for the daily time record (DTR). See Dhreff, "No matter how uncomfortable and painful a change may be, must take its course: The OCNHS Experience…"
Yes, innovation was painful as it hit everybody’s comfort zones. It had straightened anything that went and remained crooked in the system through the years. It has taught everyone to become punctual and thus, discipline is now visibly put in place.
The use of the biometrics is universally welcomed and accepted except for one thing, teachers and none-teaching staffs felt that 4X log-in & out daily was indeed, cumbersome. The general sentiment is to log-in AM and log-out PM once only.
The Teachers & Employees Committed to Humanity (TEACH) through its President Rosario Jordan appealed to the School Administration that “Logging-in and out should be done once only” (i.e. log-in AM and log-out PM). The school principal approved the appeal and effected on September 17, 2012.
The general feeling that through biometrics time has tightened its grip on teachers and support employees is a thing of the past as they now enjoy quality time during lunch break consequent of the implementation of AM log-in and PM log-out once daily.

if it helps in being disciplined and punctual
then it needs to be accepted gracefully. After
the staff gets used to it, it will become
routine to be reaching and leaving on time.
